Since 2012 you can declare a change of residence online through the municipality portal or ANPR. The change becomes effective within 2 working days.

- ✓Tax codes of all persons moving
- ✓Owner's consent (if moving into someone else's home)
Step-by-step procedure

Check if the municipality is on ANPRMost municipalities have migrated. Check at anpr.interno.it.

Log in and declare the changeGo to the municipality portal or comuni.it. Log in with SPID and fill in the form: new address, household members, occupancy title.
If you are moving into someone else's home, the owner's consent is required.

Wait for verificationThe Registry Officer has 45 days to verify. In the meantime you have provisional residence.
4
Update your documentsAfter the change, update: driving licence, vehicle registration, ID card upon expiry, general practitioner.
Driving licence and vehicle registration must be updated within 30 days.
