Some regions (Lazio, Campania, Emilia-Romagna) require mandatory liability insurance for dogs. Check regional regulations.
Liability insurance covers third-party damages caused by your dog.

Main providers: Generali, UnipolSai, Allianz, Direct Line, Dott.Vet, Agila. Compare on Segugio.it or Facile.it.
Watch out for deductibles, coverage limits and pre-existing conditions.

Choose the type of coverage
Liability: third-party damage. Health: vet expense reimbursement. Accident: injuries. Theft/loss: for valuable breeds.

Activate the policy
Most can be activated online in 10 minutes. You have a 14-day right of withdrawal. It takes effect 24–48h after payment.
Keep the documentation with the health booklet.
