Get digital medical certificateGo to your GP and request a digital medical certificate. The doctor sends it directly to INPS and your employer (via electronic system). No printed paper.
Certificate must be sent within the day you become ill or the next day.

Paid days: 100% first 3 days, then 66.66%If sick 5 days: days 1-3 paid 100%, days 4-5 paid 66.66%. Example: €2,000/month salary → days 1-3 = €2,000 × 3/30 = €200, days 4-5 = €2,000 × 66.66% × 2/30 = €89.

INPS deposits after 10-15 daysAfter doctor sends certificate, INPS processes and deposits the benefit. Timeline: 10-15 business days.
