Step-by-step procedure

Collect daycare invoices

From enrollment, keep all daycare fee invoices. They must be in your name (parent). You'll need them to prove expenses. Digitalize easily via photo or scanner app.

Invoices must show: date, amount, reason (daycare fees), and recipient name.

Calculate ISEE (needed for amount)

The bonus amount depends on ISEE. With ISEE up to €25,000, you get a higher reimbursement (up to €3,000). With ISEE above €40,000, reimbursement is lower (~€1,500). If you don't have ISEE, you can still apply but with reduced amount.

ISEE can be requested free at your CAF.

Apply for bonus online on INPS

Access INPS portal with SPID, section 'Bonus nido'. Fill the form: tax code, ISEE, attach scan of invoices. Indicate total amount spent on daycare for the calendar year. INPS processes in 15-20 days.

Deadline to claim 2025 bonus is December 31, 2025. Don't delay.

Receive reimbursement in bank

Once approved, INPS credits the reimbursement to your bank account. If expenses are €3,000 and ISEE is low, you get the full €3,000. If expenses are lower (e.g., €2,000), you get €2,000.

Reimbursement is once per year, usually February-March of the following year.
