What you need
- ✓POD code (electricity) and/or PDR code (gas) from your bill
- ✓Account holder's tax code / VAT number
- ✓IBAN for direct debit
Step-by-step procedure

Get the codes from your bill
Note down: POD (electricity, starts with IT001) and PDR (gas). These are the identification codes for your meter.
These codes are essential for the switch.

Compare offers
Use the ARERA portal or comparison websites (SOStariffe.it, Selectra, Facile.it).

Sign the contract with the new supplier
You can do it online, by phone or at an agency. The new supplier will handle the entire process.
You have a 14-day right of withdrawal from a distance contract.

Receive switch confirmation
The process takes 4–6 weeks. Continue paying the old supplier's bills until confirmation.
